Let's go Daddy!

 We were able to finally get to one of Peter's bike races... a season that started early spring and has taken Peter all over the region. He is loving being a part of a team, getting back into shape and rekindling his passion for putting miles upon miles on his bicycle. Peter raced before when he was a teen and has revived his competitive spirit since he can't run anymore as it was too stressful on his body. Peter is doing well on this circuit, currently holding 11th in the area in criteriums. We are proud of Daddy!

Fantastic Weekend with Daddy

This weekend we had a taste of spring... the weather was warm, the days are getting longer, and Daddy was home! We played baseball outside, got a trampoline and the boys had fun racing their race car with Daddy in the empty lots near our house. Peter also is teaching Stephen to ride a dirt bike so they can go riding together. Stephen did the best he has yet, riding laps around the empty lot! I think they are going to have fun doing this together. Scottie is chomping at the bit to keep up and wants to ride the "motorcycle" too... Not for a couple of years though (at least Mommy hopes!)

We put up a trampoline in our back yard. The boys love going to friends' houses and jumping so I finally talked Peter into getting one and man, its a hit! Peter even had a great time jumping and showing the boys how to do some "tricks" on it. Now Stephen shows everyone who comes over what Daddy taught him to do. Scottie gets up every morning and looks out the window and with a big smile on his face says, "Look, there's our trampline..." and wants to be out there every minute of the day. Its going to be rough when its rainy....

Happy birthday Scottie, Peter and Christiana!!

We were fortunate enough to have 3 birthdays close together in my family. My hubby, son and sister are all born within 5 days of each other, Peter and Christiana on the same day! We had a celebration for all three on the Saturday between the actual birthdays. In attendance was Stephen, Mom (me), Peter, Scottie, Christiana, Dad Cole, Granddaddy, and Grammy Pat. It was a great time of fellowship, football and of course with our family, food. Scottie was so cute. Every day after his real birthday, September 15th, he would get up and say "Birthday, Mine!" Then when he got his second round of birthday, he was super excited! He was extremely happy opening gifts, which included two trucks (thanks Grammy and Granddad), Buzz Lightyear (thanks DadDad, MomMom and Nana) and some Buzz and Woody toddler bedding! His highlight though was his cake, a Wiggles car! It was a fun cake to make but what made it all worth it was to see the excited look on my baby's face when he saw it for the first time. Christiana was surprised to come and have a dolphin cake waiting for her and of course Peterhad a German chocolate cake. It was a special day.
