Winter Concert

Stephen had his Winter Musical Concert on Wednesday night. The kids did a great job singing some tough songs! The first grade class sung Rockin' on the Housetop, Christmas Cookies, and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause and ended the evening with Christmas Don't be Late! They had a great time playing with sticks during the first song and rocked the night! Stephen looked so handsome in his tux from Uncle Jeremy! Jeremy also wore the same one during his first grade performance.

Merry Christmas!

Its begining to feel a lot like Christmas...

Merry Christmas season from the Steyaert family! We hope you are having a great month and learning or remembering the true meaning of Christmas, celebrating Christ's birth.

The stockings are hung by the chimney with care... with hopes that St. Nick will soon be there!
And there was some magic that grew the mistletoe so that love would be shared.
Tradition still reins supreme with the count down advent calendar. This year we decided that not only would there be gifts but things to do for others too... like share your candy with someone not in your family...
The boys loved getting out their ornaments and hanging them on the tree.
Shaun even got in on the action!
We enjoyed the annual Christmas parade with good friends again this year. Sitting in front of the Myer's home with their 3 (going to be 4) kids, the Hess family and our family, we watched the parade and the highlight once again was the fire truck carrying Santa! We had a great time once again!

The most magical vacation....

Disney's Magic Kingdom... Thanksgiving 2012
SO many pictures, where do I start??
Ok, so here are the quick highlights from Disney.
Disney's Hollywood Studios

We ate lunch at Pizza planet and played some games after!

The kids loved playing on the set of Honey I Shrunk the Kids... Even Shaun was intrigued by the large items and bright colors!

The Big Boys were able to meet some of their favorite characters... Scottie was thrilled to meet Mickey Mouse!

At the end of the night at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the boys went to Jedi Training. They both were scared when the lifelike Darth Vader came out and didn't battle him but Stephen helped use the force to  send him back where he came from. They had a good time with the Jedi Master though and learned some of his tricks.

A wonderful way to end the night, watching the Festival of Lights parade... We were able to see all the Disney characters we grew up with and the ones that made this momma feel like I am depriving my children because they didn't know who they were! We will be doing a lot of movie watching over the next couple of weeks for sure!

Prince Charming

Pinocchio
For our first family vacation, just us and no other family, we had a wonderful time, making lots of special memories. The boys did great visiting 5 parks in 5 days and not driving Daddy too insane. We only had really one incident, Shaun threw his glasses off and it was so busy we were sure we wouldn't find them.... But after prayer and some looking, we did!! This was a feat in itself because Peter estimates probably there were around 15,000 or so people at the park for Thanksgiving!
I also have to give a shout out for Disney! They were fabulous with Shaun and helping us make this trip wonderful. We were able to get a special needs pass for him and it let us in the fast pass line to cut the wait time down and allow him to keep his stroller in places we shouldn't be able to take it. They shined in this aspect and I would recommend them to anyone!

This was only half of our trip... Look for Universal Studios coming soon!!
