Stephen's First Field Trip

One of the reasons I am glad that I get to stay home is because I can be involved in the kids' lives no matter what. Stephen had his first field trip to the Pumpkin Patch and I was able to bring the other kids and be a chaperone, (watching another child). We had a great time at Hill High Orchard, going on a tractor ride, playing in the hay maze, climbing on the tractors and looking at the animals. It was a whirlwind, getting to find some small pumpkins, eating apples and sharing lunch, all on the day before the first winter storm was scheduled to hit... SO it was COLD! But we all had a great time anyway. Stephen loved wearing his purple shirt for his class to school and I got to car pool with my friend Joyce and her little girl who was helping with another class. We look forward to more of these trips and getting to know more students in Stephen's class!

4 month check up

Shaun had his 4 month check up today! Man he is a big boy! He only weighed in the 25 percentile at 13 lbs and 8 oz but he was a whopping 27 inches long! It was off the chart! We have a little Peter on our hands for sure!
Some of his newest and best tricks are smiling at mom when I walk in the room, playing on the excersaucer, grabbing toys (or whatever he can get his hands on) and bringing them to his mouth (including grabbing his passy and pulling in or out of his mouth), and playing with his favorite things ~ his feet! It is so fun watching him develop... I am just sad to see it go so fast!

Square Dance!

One of the events we look forward to in October is our annual Square Dance with our church, Emmaus. We do this as an outreach and a fun event each year, having a pot luck, callers for 2 hours of dancing and some fun little prizes for best dressed. Stephen loves going every year, learning how to dance and playing with his friends. I love it too. Its fun doing all the line dancing, and learning the square dances. Stephen is usually my partner but I had a new one this year, Scottie! He even got into it a little. Shaun did a lot of sleeping but I did line dance with him in the front pack. (Picture taken by someone else and I am still waiting on it.) We had a great evening and hope that Peter will join us next year!
