Square Dance 2012

SQUARE DANCE 2012!

I'm a little tired and don't want to take a picture!!

Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl!

The Kid Gang!
We had a great time last Saturday at our annual Square Dance. Like normal, Stephen and I cut up the dance floor, Stephen even getting voted the best kid cowboy dancer! (I think its his personality!) He lives up to being a Texan for sure! Scottie tried his hand at dancing and had a great time, being my partner for the first two squares. (Then he decided it would be funner to run around with the other kids...) Shaun had a great time being my partner (or me being his legs...) while being in the front pack. We did lots of square dances, some line dances and even the Virginia Reel. It was a great time and I love getting down with my friends, eating good food and cutting loose for an evening. I look forward to the Hoedown with the Elementary school coming up on November 10. Look for a post capturing that night! YEE- HAW!

Fall

I love fall... Maybe its my favorite time of year. The changing of colors, harvest, pumpkins.  I love getting snuggled in sweats, baking because its not hot, crock pot meals, comfort foods, and football~ all that goes on with football~ getting together with family, playing games, sharing a meal, time, love. And the Redskins... even though they stink as of late, we still cheer them on.

This past weekend, we got together at my Uncle Chris and Aunt Helen's house. It was wonderful. I was able to see my grandparents (whom I am very close with) that I haven't seen in a couple of months due to illnesses, appointments, and time constraints. We were able to catch up with my cousin who goes to school at the University of Alabama, sharing what we've been learning in our walk with God and encouraging each other. The boys playing with their cousins. I love family. Until the next game... Go Redskins!!!

Monkey Joe's

What do you want to do for your birthday, Scottie?? has been my question for the last couple of weeks... The answer changed regularly but the most requested activity was to go to Monkey Joe's! And what did this Momma do (guilt ridden that it took this long to try and semi-celeberate his birthday)? Took him to play at Monkey Joe's!

Scottie, Matthew, Shaun, Grandma, Aunt Kristen and I had a great couple of hours bouncing, chasing, playing in water fountains, and laughing at the fun these two boys had. They did great waiting turns, playing together, running around, and wearing each other out.

I can tell you right now we will be frequencing this place a lot this winter! Its contained and a blast for boys who have tons of energy!
